 Super-yacht dock party!

Last week, we sailed to the next island in the Caribbean chain... Antigua! While in a place called Falmouth bay, the whole anchorage was invited to a super-yacht dock party! All dressed up, the whole bay made their way to a dock next to a 300 ft super-yacht! The party was great with music, paddling pools full of drinks and delicious food. We made friends with the second officer who got all of us kids loads of glow-sticks! We were very surprised that a super-yacht had hosted a party, however we were told that the boat had been doing this for 20 years as a way to give back to the community! It was a really great party!

Beach Bonfire!🔥

The other day, our friends invited us to a beach bonfire. All of our friends and our family arrived at the sunset lit beach. We all had to find loads of sticks and logs to then start the fire! Once the fire got going, we all toasted marshmallows and made S'mores.  To add some atmosphere, I brought my guitar along and played some of my favourite songs underneath the stars.  I had so much fun with all of my friends playing on the beach. We certainly are living the dream out here!

 Swimming with stingrays!

On Tuesday, we anchored by a beautiful reef. We had heard this place was like a stingray city! After all the tourists boats had left, we went to find some stingrays! As soon as we jumped in, a huge stingray swam by us! After it had found a nice sandy spot, it buried itself so you could only really see the very top of its back and its eyes. When we looked around the seafloor, we saw that there were many more, all buried in the sand! I was a bit nervous being in the water with them as they were so big and have venomous tails. However, it was really cool to see such big, sea creatures swimming around.  Afterwards, I researched that despite the sting rays having toxic tails, it's very rare to be stung by them unless accidentally stepping on a sleeping one!

Ava's Tropical Dreams- No going back

 No going back... On Sunday, we deep cleaned our house as the renter moved in this week.  Please bear in mind that this was not your daily clean like we are used to, this was a 'clean every inch of the house' deep clean.  That meant we had to clean all of the windows, which I do not recommend after cleaning 53 of them! Hoover every single room and the stairs (which is actually not as bad as the window cleaning) and make sure the toilets were sparkling -which my mum did.  At least, we are pretty much finished.  Where are we right now? As we have just deep cleaned the house and the renter moved in this week, my grandparents have very kindly let us use their house as they have gone on holiday to Wales. All of our things are now here with us at my grandparents house. What can we take?  Now, for anyone who does not know, a boat is not as big as a house (even if the boat has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms) so we can not take everything we own. Ava's Tropical Dreams- Lots of exploring and a week on the dock...

Lots of exploring and a week on the dock... I have done lots of things that I need to tell you about! First of all, in my last blog (at the end) I told you that we were going to go back to Woburn Bay. However, that did not happen as lots of our friends were going back to Morne Rouge on their own boats so we decided to go with them. We had another fun filled weekend at Morne Rouge with lots of swimming and playing.  While we were there, we visited the underwater sculpture park. The underwater sculpture park is an area of sea, which was by a coral reef, where there are lots of statues of people and objects underwater! It was really cool and my favourite statue was a man that was sat at his desk with a computer in front of him! We also saw a massive leather back turtle!  After visiting Morne Rouge we went to Le Phare Bleu to stay on our boat at the marina as my dad went for a work trip and my grandpa is visiting.
