 Welsh sunshine, plane flight, on the water...

Hi, it seems like forever since I wrote my last blog post. There is sooo much to tell you about, where do I start? Let's begin with my amazing holiday down to Pembrokeshire in Wales...

Wales

If you read my last blog post you would know I was away in Wales for 2 and a half weeks. My family and I had the best time. It was so lovely to see all of my friends down in Wales only a couple of days before we left to go to Grenada. Here are some photos of my time down in Wales:









GRENADA!

On Tuesday, we arrived in Grenada. We had woken up at 3am Tuesday morning to get a taxi to the airport at 4am. I was fast asleep when m dad came to wake me up 😂! When we got to the airport at 5am we had to get our massive suitcases through the airport and do all of the boring things like luggage check 😐. We were a bit delayed on the plane so we took off at 8:20am instead of 5 past 8. We did a stop at Barbados and then continued to Grenada. When we got off the plane in Grenada it was so hot and sunny 😳🌞🔥.

We put the boat in the water on Thursday having already done all of the jobs that needed doing:

  • cleaning the inside of the boat
  • putting our new logo on the boat
  • putting all of our possessions away
  • decorating our cabins
  • going through the things the previous owner left
 It was really hot on the days that we did this so by the end of the day we were really hot and exhausted.



           

 

 I am really missing my friend back home but I have already made lots of new ones. On Wednesday at the farmers market, we met 2 girls who are our age and have been hanging out with them. Me and my sister have also made friends with all of the kids at Le Phare Bleu. I was so surprised at how many kids there was and how many families live on boats. I am really enjoying it here.

    You guys must be very good at cleaning after the last month. I hope you get to start enjoying your new surroundings especially exploring under the sea. I can't wait to see the shell collection. 😍 Missing you guys and thinking of you lots! Xx

    The catamaran is beautiful!! I love your room! Especially the pillow with your name on it. Im so glad to hear you've been meeting friends and other families embarking on similar adventures! I loved the pirate costumes, such big smiles on every ones faces. You weren't kidding about the giant suitcases! I was a little late to join your blog but am all caught up and I can't wait to read your next post tomorrow! You are a wonderful writer!

Ava's Tropical Dreams- No going back

 No going back... On Sunday, we deep cleaned our house as the renter moved in this week.  Please bear in mind that this was not your daily clean like we are used to, this was a 'clean every inch of the house' deep clean.  That meant we had to clean all of the windows, which I do not recommend after cleaning 53 of them! Hoover every single room and the stairs (which is actually not as bad as the window cleaning) and make sure the toilets were sparkling -which my mum did.  At least, we are pretty much finished.  Where are we right now? As we have just deep cleaned the house and the renter moved in this week, my grandparents have very kindly let us use their house as they have gone on holiday to Wales. All of our things are now here with us at my grandparents house. What can we take?  Now, for anyone who does not know, a boat is not as big as a house (even if the boat has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms) so we can not take everything we own. Ava's Tropical Dreams- Lots of exploring and a week on the dock...

Lots of exploring and a week on the dock... I have done lots of things that I need to tell you about! First of all, in my last blog (at the end) I told you that we were going to go back to Woburn Bay. However, that did not happen as lots of our friends were going back to Morne Rouge on their own boats so we decided to go with them. We had another fun filled weekend at Morne Rouge with lots of swimming and playing.  While we were there, we visited the underwater sculpture park. The underwater sculpture park is an area of sea, which was by a coral reef, where there are lots of statues of people and objects underwater! It was really cool and my favourite statue was a man that was sat at his desk with a computer in front of him! We also saw a massive leather back turtle!  After visiting Morne Rouge we went to Le Phare Bleu to stay on our boat at the marina as my dad went for a work trip and my grandpa is visiting.
