Ava's Tropical Dreams- Lots of exploring and a week on the dock...

Lots of exploring and a week on the dock... I have done lots of things that I need to tell you about! First of all, in my last blog (at the end) I told you that we were going to go back to Woburn Bay. However, that did not happen as lots of our friends were going back to Morne Rouge on their own boats so we decided to go with them. We had another fun filled weekend at Morne Rouge with lots of swimming and playing.  While we were there, we visited the underwater sculpture park. The underwater sculpture park is an area of sea, which was by a coral reef, where there are lots of statues of people and objects underwater! It was really cool and my favourite statue was a man that was sat at his desk with a computer in front of him! We also saw a massive leather back turtle!  After visiting Morne Rouge we went to Le Phare Bleu to stay on our boat at the marina as my dad went for a work trip and my grandpa is visiting. We haven't seen him in 2 years! It's our first time staying in the ...

Ava's Tropical Dreams- Sails up and off we go!

Image
Sails up and off we go! As I told you in my last blog, we were going to go sailing on Friday for the first time. If you did not know that feel free to read my previous blog. Anyways, we had lots of fun sailing for the first time. We got to help do everything and I even got to steer for half the time! We went from Wovern Bay to Morne Rouge Bay, known to the locals as BBC beach! I found sailing our boat really interesting as it taught me lots of new things.  When we got to Morne Rouge aka BBC beach, we were amazed at the beauty of the bay. It was the nicest bay we have been in with its crystal, clear water and beautiful, sandy beach! Sea turtles welcomed our arrival as we pulled into the stunning bay. I really like how we move our home as it means that we do not have to pack anything away (apart from the sails) so we can just jump straight in the water once we have anchored! One day, I spent half a day trying to catch a fish in a bucket 😂. My parents told me that I would never...

Ava's Tropical Dreams- Feels like 4 weeks instead of 1

Feels like 4 weeks instead of 1... Even though we arrived in Grenada on Tuesday last week, it already feels like we have been here for more like four weeks than one week. We have done so many things already! Let me share with you what we have done: Friday Marco Polo in the pool! On Friday we went to Le Phare Bleu (which is a marina right next to our bay) again to hangout with our new friends. In the afternoon, all of the kids played Marco Polo in the pool (there was like 20 of us). It was really fun. All the kids were also jumping off the jetty. There was a line that a boat had tied to the jetty and we were seeing who could front flip over the line and into the sea. The security then told us we were not allowed to jump off the jetty so one of the girls said that we could use her boat to jump off 😂 which was really fun. When we went back to our boat, we then got to drink coconut milk from a coconut and then we ate some of the inside! Thea drinking from a coconut Saturday  We went t...

Welsh sunshine, plane flight, on the water... Hi, it seems like forever since I wrote my last blog post. There is sooo much to tell you about, where do I start? Let's begin with my amazing holiday down to Pembrokeshire in Wales... Wales If you read my last blog post you would know I was away in Wales for 2 and a half weeks. My family and I had the best time. It was so lovely to see all of my friends down in Wales only a couple of days before we left to go to Grenada. Here are some photos of my time down in Wales: GRENADA! On Tuesday, we arrived in Grenada. We had woken up at 3am Tuesday morning to get a taxi to the airport at 4am. I was fast asleep when m dad came to wake me up 😂! When we got to the airport at 5am we had to get our massive suitcases through the airport and do all of the boring things like luggage check 😐. We were a bit delayed on the plane so we took off at 8:20am instead of 5 past 8. We did a stop at Barbados and then continued to Grenada. When we got off the p...
